Measuring your fence is simple — follow the guide below to map out your project...
1. Define the area
Before installing a fence, check with your local Council regarding specific pool fence requirements. For more information, click here.
Draw the area where you Pool Fence will be located.
Make sure to include important features, such as:
2. Take measurements:
Measure the distances between points of your fence line and write them on the plan.
Be sure to measure where the fence will be i.e. 100mm in from the edge of the concrete (as seen in the example)
Top & Bottom Gaps - Ensure your measurements for each run accounts for top & bottom gaps. Ensure your runs include measurements of gap.
Slab Edge Allowance - Please ensure to allow a minimum 100mm from edge-of-slab to centre line of fence when calculating measurements of your fence runs.
Installing on Timber Deck? - Please be aware, if installing on timber deck, spigots needs to be installed into structural timber.
3. Calculate panel sizes:
Divide each section into equal sized panels, allowing for gaps and gates.
Panel sizes range from 100mm - 2000mm
Hinges & Latch Options - We have a large range of Hinge & Latch options available to cater for your gate layout requirements.
Retaining Wall Panels - Retaining wall panels can be used to overcome stepping points (i.e. retaining wall, taps, window ledges) to ensure pool compliance. We stock a large range of Retaining Wall Panels to cater for this.
